SPIKE Tool Repair and Maintenance
SPIKE Peak Performance Maintenance Kit
SPIKE Tool requires regular maintenance of cleaning and oiling after
each use. The internal parts of the SPIKE Tool will wear with continued
use over time. To ensure 100 percent operating efficiency from your
SPIKE Tool, the manufacturer recommends replacement of operating parts
every two years, depending on the condition of the SPIKE Tool and frequency
used.
The SPIKE Peak Performance Maintenance Kit can be ordered through a
SPIKE Tool Distributor. Directions for installation
of the Maintenance Kit are found online in the SPIKE Tool
operations manual. Or, contact your distributor and request an operations
manual.
The Maintenance Kit includes
- Hammer Assembly (hammer, spring,
5/64" allen key)
- Firing Pin Assembly (with 1/8" allen
key)
- Cartridge Holder
- Safety Striker Plate
- Installation instructions
SPIKE Tool Manufacturer Maintenance
SPIKE Tool Inc. can maintain your SPIKE Tool for you. Ship your tool
to your SPIKE Tool Distributor for a manufacturer
inspection and overhaul. It is recommended customers send in SPIKE Tools
every few years to SPIKE Tool Inc. for a 'tune-up'. An estimate for
repair and maintenance will be provided.
The SPIKE Tool will be restored to peak operating performance, “as
good as new”, within 2-3 weeks upon receipt of the tool. After inspection,
it will be repaired, cleaned, sandblasted, black oxidized, and the operating
parts will be replaced with the SPIKE Peak Performance Maintenance Kit.
The tool is then tested.
There is a one-year warranty
on the Manufacturer Maintenance; the same as a newly purchased tool.
*U.S. and International orders: Shipping and handling charges
will be added.
Canadian orders: Ontario: PST + GST will be added. Newfoundland,
Nova Scotia, New Brunswick: 15% HST will be added. All other Canadian
provinces: 7% GST. Unless we ship via your courier account, shipping
charges will be added.
